Using Chalk to Enhance Stamping Impressions

I may actually make foray into videos (!) to show this technique. I did this over the weekend and was quite pleased with he results.
You need- LIGHT coloured pigment inks ( I like Versa Color), these or Brilliance also work well if you like. The reason you use light is so chalk will show up.
A nice palette is light green, link mauve, light blue and light brown.
Note- this will not work well on white paper. paper needs to be light. Cream works very well.
Stamp your image using one of the above colours. Now shade using complimentary chalks ( more than one colour is nice) ON leaves you would use light green or brown and brown/green tones chalks. Use a cotton ball to apply chalk and then use clean cotton ball to remove excess. This gives a beautiful subtle effect.
I id this on weekend maker borders for a scrapbook page, Using a scroll stamp I made a “damask” look border print blue and green on light blue.
I will take photos to show how it looked and give ideas- or maybe get really brave and create a video!

Great New Product - Stamp N Bond and Some Tips and Ideas for Using

I was introduced to Stamp N Bond from Stampendous at my local craft store and fell in love. Th ebottle costs about 8.00. The product looks like clear embossing powder, but it is actually tiny beads of glue that melt and “activate” when you heat it up. The glue is REALLY strong.
How can you use this? It looks FANTASTIC when used with glitter or even embossing power that you don’t heat.
To use the stamp n bond, put Versamark or similar on your stamp. stamp your image and pour the Stamp n bond powder on it, shake it off, etc. Heat with heat gun and put your glitter on it… shake it off. it will hold!

    Some tips:
Do NOT overheat the stamp n bond! Just heat til it gets glossy.

Move quickly- the glue will dry fast.

Staps with simple and not too intricate design work best. You lose detail with glitter.

Stamp n bond works beautifully with embossing tape. Just sprinkle on the Stamp N Bond, heat and add glitter for stunning effect.
