Basic Grey just released the new paper line, GRANOLA.

Do you love it or hate it?

It features mostly earth tone browns, beiges and blues with some mustard. I am not crazy about it. It might be good for some “masculine” layouts. The colors do nothing for me and the patterns are also very blah.
I love basic Grey papers but this one is a bit of a miss for me- what do you think?

I first heard about this one of my craft forums a year ago and now they are HUGE. Scrapbookers were talking about how they decorated their 3M ATG-752 Adhesive Transfer Gun and at first I was APPALLED!
Crazy Americans are now decorating their guns with sequins. DOH! An ATG gun is a suped up tape runner on steroids. The tape guns are used for framing and caught on like wild fire in scrapbook community about a year and half ago. The biggest advantage is comfort and cost of refills.

What is an ATG Gun?

The ATG stands for Adhesive Transfer Gun.. So ATG gun is actually redundant. They are pretty big. The adhesive is fantiastic and refills are cheap. They are very comfortable to use.

The most popular size is Scotch ATG 714 and refill with this refill. because it is acid free.

I saw a technique used in a scrapbook magazine where they embosses 3 different colors of metallic paper- in shades of gold, orange and cranberry and was lovely- I cannot find this paper ANYWHERE. I can’t remember the magazine so no clue what brand. I have been to 4 stores now to track down something similar.
The design used Cuttlebug swhirls embossing folder.
Ideally I would like a paper pack of this stuff so I can LSS coupon or Michael’s coupon.

Don’t forget that Michael’s is selling their Cricut cartridges for 40.00 nest week. The cartridges or for the Cricut die cutting machine. Typically they go for about 80.00 and even on sale about 50,oo so this is a great deal I have also heard Michael’s might be doing a cross promotion with Cricut where you can get the Cricut Design Studio for free when you buy a certain amount of the cartridges.

I am delving into the world of digital scrapbooking- although I don;t know how it could ever replace my passion for “real” scrapbooking. I suspect its a heck of a lot cheaper!
One of the advantages to digital scrapbooking is you don’t have to pay a fortunes for supplies. You can also get great results in not that much time and it doesn’t require a ton of skills.

I am setting up my older daugter with Scrapblog account and will let her und wild to see what she’ll come up with. I am but worried that I wil have yet anther addcition to take over my life ( at least it won;t take over dining room table!)

This is absolutely stunning. Just picked up bunch of “nice” pencil crayons on ebay to try- Use colored pencils with mineral spirits to color your stamp images. The results are similar to water colors but color looks much more vibrant. Wow- can’t wait to try!

Help! I am struggling trying to find a decent tape runner. I LOVED the old tape runner from Creative memories. The one I am talking about is not refillable- they discontinued it and replaced it about 4 years ago. I was a consultant then and bought a whole case of them I have run out an been using the newer refillable… which i hate.
The refillable one from CM is awful. I have to fiddle and fix it about every 10 minutes and slows me down. I HATE it!
I have been trying out other options and found a few that I like. Feel free to make suggestions.

I like this one, the Tombow Mono Adhesive With Dispenser, Permanent It is available in both permanent and removable refills.

Wow- went to scrapbook crop night at Michaels 2 weeks ago and this was 399.00 ! Costco selling these for 169.99 INCLUDING shipping. If you have an Ameri-friend grab one of these.I used it and was quite impressed. I HATE the Cuttlebug types and this was as simple as typing on a keyboard.
